does anyone know if location r49, just to the left of j1, needs to be removed?? and do i need those capacitors in the two c locations?? please help...thanks

those caps are optional, mostly.

what do you mean optional and i didnt cut it...wiredspeed lab did. plus they didnt jump j1 either. anyways...how am i gonna fix it...i dont know what used to be there. a capacitor, jumper, resistor or its okay they took it out.

The capacitors are there for noise filtering and are not necessary.

I don't know what to tell you about the resistor/jumper issue. You may want to test the ECU to see if it works or call wiredspeed lab or call Hondata.

bad experience w/wired already and dont want to send it back to them. it took them 3 weeks just to "partially" chip my ecu and send me my hondata unit. a total waste of my time and money. all i wanna do right now is fix it myself or somethin so i can drive my car asap. anyone else know if i could/should test out the ecu the way it is(w/o r49)...or is it gonna mess anything up? i just dont want to plug it up and cause another headache.

You should call Hondata and ask them to test / check it for you. overnight it to them. Ask for Matt in tech support.
