fuel compensation?

Post by n2boost »

I wold like to have an idea on what to set the fuel compensation scale to?
The guy that tune the car had most of the number set at zero. The car ran badly when it was cold outside, also ran way too rich at star up. I had to keep giving it gas to keep it running. I trimmed some % off the fuel compesation scale but now the fuel correction goes from lean at to rich when it is cold outside and the same when it is hot outside. I have the scale set @ 4% @32 degs, 1% @ 62 degs, and 0% @ 110 degs on during light loads. 5% @ 32 deg, 2% @ 62 degs and 0% @ 110 degs on during medium load. Finally 6% @ 32 deg, 3% @ 62 degs, and 0% @ 110 degs on durind high engine loads. I have a 1000cc injectors, so that may have some thing to do we how is this going to be set at. What about the water temp compensation scale, I have a cooler thermostat.

Open one of the stock calibrations and use those compensations.

I was going to use one of the stock fuel compensation tables but the guy that tuned my car told my that in other words adding +10% of fuel on 240cc injectors is not the same as +10% fuel for 1000cc injectors. Is this true? The stock tables add up to 39% fuel when the engine is cold and that sounds like a lot of fuel added to a set of 1000cc injectors. But I'm new at this. That's why I have so many questions. The tuner told me that for fuel economy I should tune the car my self because it takes a lot of time for that. I drive my car 61 mile one way to work every day so I was force to try this. Thank you for any help.
