Datalogging Dropping Offline
I have no clue what is going on here but when I actuate the datalogging feature it intermittantly drops off and freezes. i have to cycle the ign key to get it back. I have tried restarting the program, and this does nothing.
Also, after recording the datalog, how do you review the recorded file?
Thanks,
Bret

If it floats, flies, or drives, I can fix it!

Would you know of know spark plug wires and or other compoenents that tend to cause issues?
Meaning if a NGK/Magnacore spark plug wires will cause this dataloging issues?
Also like putting in a Autozone brand rotor and cap?
Just want to know what components in the ignition systems have know to cause these issues.

Why you say I am bored?bartman360 wrote:El verdugo. Are you haveing datalogging issues as well or are you just bored? Just curious.
Bartman
I tune cars on a daily basis and come across this issue from time to time and I was wanting to get a definitive answer on what is causing it. It gets annoying when one makes a sweep on the dyno and the datalog is cut at 5400rpm for instance.

Just curious why someone would swap components for no apparent reason but it all makes sense now. I street tune my vehicle with s300 and a portable 5 gas. It is a pain but I have had good results besides the datalogging issues. I have NGK resistor plugs, aftermarket wires of unknown origin, and a Napa brand cap and rotor. I have found that my datalogging drops offline at higher rpm. It seems pretty stable at lower engine speeds. I just drove the car 60 miles on the freeway while datalogging and had no issues. I am very interested to hear your findings. Please let me know what your results are.
Thanks,
Bret
