Help needed with CEL9 Cylinder position sensor

Post by jordancivic »

Hi all

Looking for some help with a CEL9 for cylinder position sensor,

Car is a 2005 Civic Sport with B18c5 and TWM ITBs, Hondata S300.

Has run fine for months, now throwing CEL9 and running poorly, checks i have carried out -

Checked resistance of the 3 sensors at dissy, all ~400ohms
Checked resistance at ecu plug, ~400ohms
Checked for short to ground on each sensor - none
S300 connects and logs correctly
CEL9 comes back immediatly when cleared

New Dissy on order from Honda, to rule out, but what else to check?

Try the ECU in a known good car to see if the problem is ECU related or vehicle specific.

Will do Spunkster, but may have trouble finding another OBD2 car.

ECU is Hondata supplied OBD1 ecu with OBD2 sockets ( Black enamel cover )
