AEM EMS with Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor

Post by D1sclaimer »

Hello, I have a 2000 s2000. I am running an AEM EMS 1052 for engine management. As far as mods go, it may as well be considered stock. Just exhaust bolt-ons and nitrous which is tuned through the nitrous control.

I recently bought a Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor since I will be going FI in a few months. I could not find the calibrations that I need to enter into my AEM EMS for it to work properly. I tried to use the Omnipower 4 bar MAP sensor calibrations and my car would not start. I swapped back over to the stock MAP sensor, put in the stock calibrations, and it started right up.

Heres the calibrations that I tried to use for it.
min voltage .08
max voltage 4.88
scalar 3.8
load offset 15.0
filter 10
frequency 0

Does anyone know what I need to do to get it to work properly?

Thanks

We only use Scalar and Offset, so you may need to contact AEM to find out why it is not working.

Okay. I will probably end up going that route.

Out of curiosity, what Scalar and Offset values do you use on the KPro for the 4 bar map sensor?

Thanks again

Well I did a little bit more searching and found this thread which I think has my answer. I will reply if I can get it to work with these values.

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.p ... 339.0.html

Map min voltage 0.50
Map max voltage 4.80
map filter 15
Load offset 0.20
Load scalar 4.00
Frequency 0

Thanks

I got it to start up and run with that.

I looked at my VE tables and I guess after you change the MAP settings, it rescales everything and changes it. I copied my old tune in to the correct values for my fuel and ignition. It ran very very rough though.

I just put the stock one back in and I'll see if my tuner can make some magic happen.
