Wrong Speedo Reading In KManager

Post by VT-Doo »

I have a JDM Honda Integra Type R DC5.
As standard the car’s speedo is in KPH.

When imported into the UK it was converted to read MPH.

In order for the speed to read correct I have to set the settings for the VSS in the sensor options to KPH.

So when I’m actually doing 30MPH the speedo reads 30, the display actually reads 30KPH. This is also throwing the gearing off within the K-Pro.

How do I fix this?

Cheers,
Ian

Change the speed converter so that the ECU gets the correct speed signal and the dash gets the converted signal.

The dash does get the converted signal I'd say.
The dash originally read 0-180 KPH.
It still reads 0-180 but the KPH marking on the dash has been changed to MPH. The dash reads correctly.

If you need to change the sensor unit to kph, but it reads in mph, that would imply the signal is being converted between the speed sensor and ECU.

I assume the VSS is is the gearbox and the dash gets it's signal from that?
By what you're saying the ECU gets it's signal from the dash. Is what I'm saying correct?
