lc-1 with s300 ?

Post by civicvtecex »

I just got a lc-1 wideband kit with gauge (link to see the product) and I want to use the gauge to see the a/f number because I dont always have my laptop hook up. I was wondering if I can hook the lc-1 to my p28 ecu with the s300 on it to datalog. The reason I ask is I was told that to datalog the wideband it has to be on the lc1 software datalog progam and the s300 has to be on its smanager screen. I would like to hook it up so when looking at the smanager graft on s300 to look at differant sensor's when dataloging, I can also see the wideband on the smanager screen page instead of having to flip back n forth to the wideband progam page to the smanager page on my laptop. Im hope this make sence, sorry for the bad noob question just never been this deep into the tuning/dataloging aspect.

U have 2 analog outputs off the LC-1 controller.
Since u have the DB gauge, 1 of the outputs will be taken by the gauge.
The other output u will have to wire to the ECU.

The only thing u'll need with the logworks software is to make sure the analog output u wire to the ECU is set to a wideband simulation like a 0-5V linear slope for example.

The LC-1 usually comes factory preset with one of the analog outputs simulating a narrowband signal,i dont know whether they reconfigure this to suit the DB package, but just hook up to the LC-1,run the software & check the outputs in any case to make sure u have a wideband signal on the output to the ECU.
If it is narrowband, then just redraw it to like a 0-5V,10-20AF linear slope or similar & remember the settings u use.

Once uve wired it to the ECU,probably input D10(ELD) will be what u'll use depending what u want to do with closed loop operation, just enter the values u used for the wideband slope at the closed loop tab in sManager along with the input u use & your done. Maybe just check your options/sensors/AF settings as well.

The only thing u might have to tweak is the ground offset to match the gauge & the graph,do make sure u do a little research on grounding techniques for the LC-1,it can be a temperamental little bitch sometimes.

Fire up the motor, start up a datalog session & AF will be right there on the graph/display/tables/whatever....
