Duty cycle drops to ZERO when I come off the gas.

Post by theodd001 »

I'm wondering why everytime I let off the gas duty cycle and injector ms drops to zero for a brief second. You can feel the engine bog down for that second. It revs up just fine and it seems to happen between 1800rpm - 1400rpm... Heres a short data log of me revving the engine up several times. Any thoughts?

It is normal (apart from Toyotas) for the injector to cut off upon decelleration.

Your problem is because the MAP sensor is reading much lower than normal upon decelleration. Reduce the values in the 'Overun Fuel cutoff (MAP)' table.

You should also adjust your TPS (using 'Scale TPS') and then set the overrun cutoff TPS to around 0.5%.

I have a couple of question...

what do both those values mean and what do the changes do?

--Scale TPS
--overrun cutoff TPS

I am trying to understand everything and these I do not...

Thanks again!

Hey that worked! Sweet! How come theres not a default button for Overun Fuel cutoff (MAP)? What are typical values?
