cranny... need yer help again with JDM tune
keto i know your learning and having fun buddy. but there is no possible way to know what his particular setup would like anywheres without a dyno. so please , stop trying to make yourself sound smart. it doesnt help anyone.

It was just a suggestion, ya know, "try and see how it feels" kinda thing. But thats fine. I will quietly excuse myself.cranny wrote:keto i know your learning and having fun buddy. but there is no possible way to know what his particular setup would like anywheres without a dyno. so please , stop trying to make yourself sound smart. it doesnt help anyone.
i know pal im sorry for being harsh truly. dont be scared to be involved. i know you know where im comming from. all you can do via the internet is make the engines run safe fuel and timing wise. guess by feedback whats working and what isnt but. long story short a dyno is the only way to find out what will optimize each individual setup.keto06 wrote:It was just a suggestion, ya know, "try and see how it feels" kinda thing. the ass dyno is always off , haha.
I suppose thats true.
I am learning, as you mentioned, and a lot of that comes from sorting out the BS. Ive been tuning for about 5-6 years now but thats mainly been OBD1 honda civics/integras and stuff, so a lot of K-Series related stuff I am still new to.
I understand not everyone is into the whole raz/theta dyno thing. I think the theory behind it sounds solid and a lot of people on CRSX seem to like it plus its helped me a lot on my car and my friends cars, but thats cool if you dont like it. As I said before, It was just a suggestion.

I'm not that stupid man lol. I know that, I said so taking into consideration that factor. At night at about the same time I drive home on a long straight. I had wheel hop in 2nd gear on the previous map, now its a bit of wheelspin. The car also sounds worse. I know this might sound ridiculous to you, but just to make sure, later on tonight I'll try a 3rd gear pull race with a friend, no shifts so we elliminate that factor, and compare the two maps. No dyno, but the best alternative I guess.
cranny, what can i say. the car is 5 cars faster than it was when i first bought it. i left many guys' jaws open. a guy insisted that i had a turbo. you truly transformed my car, thanks a lot. btw it's not really necessary to part throttle tune it as im running closed loop right? i mean it wont be lean.
i have a question, today it was exceptionally hot and whenever i tried starting the car, i had to give it some throttle while turning on the ignition. can this be solved using Kpro?
