immobilizer question on k20z1 swap PLEASE READ

Post by eg8k20z1 »

Ok i am running a k20z1 out of a 2006 rsx-s in my 92 civic eg, i am also using the same rsx-s cluster and ignition/keys, using the 05/06 adapter harness and K-Pro.

I want to make the immobilizer ACTIVE so only my keys will start the car, when i enable the immobilizer on kmanager the car wont start. What do i need to do, wire the immobilizer into the kpro? Please help this is a major security issue for me, Thanks.

Since you are not using the original ecu that matches those keys, you need to have the immobilizer system reprogrammed by a honda dealer.

If you have a PRB ecu modified for 2005+ RSX with the adapter harness, then the only way you can program the immobilizer is if you have the electronics and keys from a 02-04 RSX and if you can get the dealership to plug in the HDS connector and be able to flash the ECU.

alright i understand i would normally reset the immobilizer to the ecu at the dealership like this - http://www.hondata.com/immobilizer.html

but my ignition/keys/ecu is in a 92 civic eg and there is no usb port to use the diagnostic tool.

Is there any other way to do this? i want to make my immobilizer active PLEASE. Thanks again

I don't believe so, you could always just use some other form of immobilization, remember it doesn't really gain you much since someone can just plug into the kpro and upload a generic basemap to steal the car, they don't need the keys really.
