nitrous aux input/outputs
nitrous aux input/outputs
do the nitrous/aux 1 - 3 pins ground a solenoid when you set the parameters for whenever you want them to?
Reason i ask is i want to use them to activate a step retard on a digital 6 box based on parameters i set but i want to use each aux output for 2 3 and 4 gear. so can i set all 3 to the same pin output, but each aux has a different parameter and time when they would ground that same pin. Whenever they ground for that set time frame rpm range whatever, the timing would retard and it would be a form of traction control. Am i understood here?

but if they are just grounding a relay, are they seeing amperage? I just want to use the ground to trip the relay to activate the timing retard. i guess i can test it all out with a relay and a 12v light hooked to it to see if its activating it the way i want it to.

The gear compensation don't have rpm needed to cut down timing at certain area only by gears.fly_n wrote:I assume since your posting in the S300 forum that u are running an S300 right?
Have u simply tried visiting the Parameters/Gear Compensation tab in sManager yet?
Or,10.3 @146, im guessing boost right?
why not wind down the boost per gear?
Sorry, not familiar with the digital6,V-Spec race development wrote:The gear compensation don't have rpm needed to cut down timing at certain area only by gears.
does it have like custom ramping maps on trigger count or something like that?
im assuming it has only 1 input from what the OP describes & thats just a 12V trigger?
If u want RPM control why dont u just step back a little from the parameters tab & visit the (20 x 24) x 4 ignition tables provided by sManager EDIT:sorry, misinformation,u are actually including the parameters tab.
& then u can still tailor your ignition by gear on top of that?
Or i shouldnt say 4 x ignition tables,i should really say how ever many ignition tables u care to enter should u have a netbook handy in the glovebox.
About a million times more ignition control than i could imagine one being able to achieve from a single 12V trigger retard box?
Or it must be one magical, special, expensive?,digital box?
nah i need to do it by gear/rpm
s300 has something like that with the nitrous tabs that im trying to figure out how to use for this. Its not by gear, but im trying to see if i can setup a certain range of speed which = a gear and make that range of speed use the one nitrous tab and another range of speed use the other and so on for all 3.
If i had a 700$ digital 7 ignition box, i could do custom timing ramps by gear on my laptop with it.

Spoolin,didnt u hear me?
U have 4 x (20 x 24) interpolated timing maps to play with as your car stands at present.
They are all directly interfaced to your ignitor, why would u travel half way around the world the other way with a single 12V trigger to achieve a whole lot less?
U can also throw a bit of gear based polish ontop of them if u so desire.
U could pull your timing right of the end of the rotor button if u wished..
Why would u need a $700 box,to do custom ramping,when u have that already?
I'll give u a hint.....
Look in the parameters tab filed under 'S'
& i'm not talking about shift light lol.
Although, dont laugh,u could probably achieve more than half of what your doing at present with the shift light output, although its very unresponsive lol, bounced my limiter a few times before i canned it...
Dont forget,u have another 999,999,999,999,999,999,999 custom timing maps storeable on your laptop, which can be uploaded in seconds.
Have fun.

Re: nitrous aux input/outputs
Matt, the outputs that you use will have the same signal as it did stock. If you use an output that was originally ground from Honda, it will output ground. If it was negative from Honda, it will be negative.SPOOLIN wrote:do the nitrous/aux 1 - 3 pins ground a solenoid when you set the parameters for whenever you want them to?

I'm not sure what will happen if you set allthree to the same output though.
Why not just use the nitrous outputs to pull timing without actually using the outputs? There are settings in each nitrous output to pull timing at whatever rpm and mph you want. That would work better than just a on/off retard.
