FlashPro and IAT sensor relocation for jrsc

Post by uncledan »

In the FlashPro help file>tuning your vehicle>afm removal, you show an obd1 iat sensor from an integra for the jrsc.

Based on testing that has been done with intake air temps, after the supercharger, it doesn't appear that the integra sensor is fast enough to keep up with the temperature rise in the manifold under wot, especially at higher boost levels. I have done some research and found at least 6 different Honda iat sensors with the 2 holed flange like the obd1 sensor you show. One is from a 2007 S2000. Prices range from $12.00-civic/2000 Prelude, $24.00-S2K, $45.00-2001 Integra.

My question is, have you done any testing with other Honda sensors with the same design as the one you show? Do you know of any other Honda sensors that would or would not provide accurate temps and work with FlashPro, or Kpro?

Thanks in advance for your response.

The ones from an S2000 will not work. All the others are exactly the same, they just have different prices and soem are black while others are white, but they function exactly the same.

1986-2001 Integra sensors are all interchaneable and work.

Thanks for the response. I thought I read somewhere on this site that there are around 20 different calculations made by the ecu using iat, is that correct?
