Looking for a cal for my Honda Elise

Post by elputcho »

Hi all,

I'm looking for a calibration for my Honda Elise.

The ECU is a pra K-pro
The engine is a K20A2
4/2/1 exhaust manifold, no cat, sport silencer (2bular)
ITG air filter (foam)

We can buy 98ron and 95ron here.

I would like something providing good power, smooth ride and reliability.

Thank you

Load up the calibration titled k20a2-stock-tuned.kal, start the datalogger on your laptop, and go out for a drive. Make sure to include some part throttle daily type driving and some idle time (at a stoplight or something)

Then make sure and do 2-3 3rd gear pulls from 2k-redline.

Dont shift from 2nd-3rd and punch it. Put it in 3rd, let the RPMs fall down, then punch it, full throttle, till redline. You can either let off or shift to 4th. That’s up to you.

Save the datalogs as like Pull1, pull2 etc and post them up.

load this on and do a datalog , post it up here buddy.

make sure its in open loop , upload it. do at least a 20 minute datalog. somewheres in this datalog , do a wide open pull. get the car in 3rd gear at 2k rpm , floor it and hold it till redline. exactly like that.

el putcho is it a race header or a shorty header with no cat?

Riki, same question. Also, was your car tuned on a dyno or just dyno'd? Have any datalogs?

No, I have no idea about the power of the engine, I'm fitting the engine in the car at this moment.

Does anyone have an idea of the power that the engine will have with this exhaust manifold and a ITG foam air filter? (the silencer is like a bike silencer (there is nothing at the inside and there is not cat)

OK thanks Cranny,

Can you tell me if this O2 sensor is ok for the Kpro (pra) ?

http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/produc ... cts_id/646

It is a Bosch UEGO wide band

does the PRA support stock wideband like PRB does? i dont think it does. in which case youl also need a controller for your wideband , not just the sensor pal. i assumed you already had a wideband geared up.

it is my opinion you are ALWAYS better off with a Kpro that supports the stock wideband. not only for tuning reasons but also closed loop. but hindsight is typically clear as a bell.
