mini me head swap computer problem

i just installed a 94 sohc vtec head on my 97 cx hatch back i also installed a p2p computer out of a 96 ex 5spd my problem is after down shifting thru high rpm's then trying to go back up thru the gears my motor hits what seems to be a rpm limit at 5500 rpm please help this is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
