S300 Prelude

Post by ekacpuc »

Hi,
I havn't started anything yet. Currently building a chevy 350 for my truck.

So I've started researching imports because my next project is going to be a 1992 prelude. I'm new to the import stuff. I live on a tiny island in alaska and there isn't anyone who can tune or even dyno. So with that said I'm hoping to swap out the H23 that's in there (bad tranny anyways) for a JDM H22a(4?) then swapping out the p13 that comes with it for a P28 then I'm just gonna send the block to be sleeved so I can run some forged pistons and a turbo (think the t3/4).. My question is if I buy the s300 and spend countless hours reading and learning I should be able to tune it for that turbo without a pro or even a dyno right? I don't see why I couldn't using a wideband or the vlx... I've started reading hondata's tech and pgmfi' tech.

With a wideband you should be able to get the AF right, but there is no way to tune for maximum power without a dyno.
