what is barometric pressure sensor?
what is barometric pressure sensor? And should i have it disabled for turbo?
2000 Integra Gs, turbo kit, RC 550 inj, p28 with s300
It is an on board sensor installed in most market's (USDM, etc...) ECUs that reads the ambient barometric pressure to adjust your fueling for things like elevation changes or large differences in the atmospheric pressure on a particular day.
I only know personally of JDM ECUs that do not have this on board sensor, so if you have a JDM ECU and it does not have the Baro sensor in it, that is when you would disable it in the S300 software. I recently came across a situation where someone's ECU had a flaky Baro sensor, and after having swapped it for a different one, and still having the same fluctuations in the datalogs, we opted to disable it in the software. It seemed to have no effect on the performance or driveability of the car.
