Full Throttle Shift with Forced induction
Full Throttle Shift with Forced induction
I know full throttle shift would be great for NA engines, but what if its forced induction? I know the blow off valve would still be shut under all that pressure while the rpms drop to whatever setting is set. Anyone have any opinions on this? Is it a bad idea?

What do you mean the BOV would still be shut? Its there to relieve excess pressure, and if it doesnt get another one.fox30 wrote:I know the blow off valve would still be shut under all that pressure while the rpms drop to whatever setting is set. Anyone have any opinions on this? Is it a bad idea?
Apex'i turbo'd 92 si
vacuum opens the diaphram in the BOV.. Vacuum is only present in the intake below atmospheric pressure.. zero to -30vac on your boost gauge.. mine is set to open at -21 shuts at -20 and stays shut all the way to +15psi.. because theres pressure under boost holding the diaphram shut down.. close the throttle body, now you got vac in the intake, vac pulls on the diaphram in the Blow Off Valve opening it.
