Engine code.

My car keeps throwing a code 14 IAC idle control code. The car some times will idle but not often. It trys to idle but wount. It drives fine once you get going but coming to a stop is not good. Car was rebuilt an IACV was out of the car for a bit. Could this be a problem or could the IACV be bad. What is causing it to throw this code.

Be best to test wiring & connections first before speculating any further.

If u have easy access to a known good working valve from friends car,then try swapping that in & see what happens.
