The datalogs do not show a rev limit. Check to make sure you do not have the MAP and TPS plugs swapped and that you have the thermostat housing ground properly connected.

i know thats the problem too it doesn't show on the datalog what makes the engine rev limit, the map and tps sensor plug are in the right place and my ground on the thermostat is good too.. my car doesn't rev limit below 50% of throttle but when i over 50% the engine revlimit and when i let the pedal go a liltle bit the rpm goes up again, i just change my tps and the volt is at 0.45 i also calibrate but it still doeng it whenever i over 50% of throttle...

what do you think Spunkster the problem?

this is a log on the dyno. @3700 rpms, it felt like the rev limiter. with less throttle, we came above this point, and it worked fine again. after this dynorun, my engine broke cause of a broken oil pickup. now i have rebuilt the engine, and the problem is exactly the same. any help would be great!

I was logging on a private road yesterday and I think this happened to me as well.
It stopped logging all of a sudden before 4k rpms.

I'll post the log later today.

i'm using the moroso drag oilpan and a gt35 turbo, the oil can not be the problem. level is good. what kind of ignition to u use? i have the hi6 from crane with the lx92 coil and ngk bkr7ey plugs, allready changed.

that looks more like ignition misfire or mechanical problem rather than rev-limiter.

my guess is your motor broke from the shitload of timing your running on top of 20odd pounds of boost, not the oil pickup.....

i have no knocking!! and there was a metal sheet under the oilpickup, which broke away from it. so my rods got no oil and failed. that was the problem.
but what has the oillevel to do with the revlimit?? i know that the vtec will not switch with to less oil, but a revlimit?
and i changed to the ngk bkr8eix today, but no change.

I would love an answer to this as well. My car started doing this EXACT same thing.

I find that when I enable secondary tables, it goes away and the car runs fine. But the secondary tables have NEVER been used before, and they weren't tuned.

Still, I don't see why this is a problem. It started after the last firmware update.

Here is my log. Sorry for the LONG delay.

It only happened this one time though. Going to the tuner today and I'll get another log.
