I am currently building a k24a2 integra. I plan on using a z3 or z1 6spd tranny, with my swap. I know if I plan to use my og cluster i will run into the vss issue, but I dont! I plan on installing a s2000 (ap1) cluster in my integra. My question is, which k-pro ecu should I use? Should I use the 02-04 type-s wire harness or shud I use the z3 or z1 wire harness?
thanx in advance
K24a2 DC Swap Question
doesn't K-pro have a Countershaft driven speed sensor option? is the signal able to travel thru a 02-04 harness? if you wire 5v power say pin e5... of course I would only suggest this to someone thats a wiring expert.
I am not sure of what problems this can create - obviously doing anything of the sort could void any sort of warranty support on your k-pro. Maybe Spunkster could go into more detail on his statements in the post above.
I know of a few people that have functional K-pro & functioning retro'd s2k cluster & k20z3 swaps.
I'd be the first to say I like the shorter gearing... not too mention the limited slip

The high frequency input cannot be used as other modifications are made to the ECU for the 05-06 RSX. Sure, people use 05-06 ECUs on engine swaps, but what you probably don't see is how many people damage / destroy their wiring / ECUs / KPros from doing this, which we end up fixing.
The K20Z3 and K20A2 engines are the same - the only difference is the wiring harness and speed sensor. By swapping the transmission case & using a 02-04 everything works without any problems.
