ECU problem? Ignition timing flunctuating

Post by CivicVTi »

Specs:

Euro Civic TypeR EP3 with PRA ECU and K-Pro, i/h/e, NGK BKR8EIX11
Kmanager version: 1.3.7
Problem: As seen in the datalog, ignition flunctuates a lot under 3000rpm, especially in low throttle openings (below 40%). As a result, the car is not driveable at all.

It looks like the Honda ignition tip in retard bug. See http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/in ... meters.htm Normally this is triggered by a noisy TPS signal.

I suggest downloading the beta version http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10279 and checking the 'fix Honda TPS bug' under 'Gear'. You also might need to replace the TPS.

Tried a different ECU today (still PRA of course) with the same calibration loaded and the car works great! I will try the beta version you suggested with the original ECU. Thanks!
