K-pro swap for EP3 civic EU

Post by bewize »

Sorry if this question is answered elsewhere. Couldn't find it.

The situation is:
One EP3 civic typer-R with K-Pro installed, one with stock ECU. How is the easiest way to swap K-pro from one car to another? Will ECU work correctly AS STOCK after k-pro removal?
Thank you

No, once an ECU has had a K-Pro installed it cannot be uninstalled. You will either have to swap ECU's and have the immobilizers reprogrammed by a Honda dealer, or just get the K-Pro for both .

as i understand the k-pro ECU will work on any car with immobilizer off and only 1 ECU must be reprogrammed?

You can do that but it is not recommended for theft reasons.

Tahnks fo rinfo, but theft reason does not really bothers me) In Moscow if someone want to steal your car he will 90% do it anyway AND using a pick up or something AND that will probably involve bribed policemen)

So i will stcik to using it without immobilizer and reflash stock ECU for other car at the dealer's.

Thank you)
