Launch Control

Post by MarcsDC5 »

I can't seem to make the launch control feature work, everytime I download it the kal. won't reconize it. I can change the rev limiter and that
works but the feature won't, do I have to engage another feature? what am I doing wrong?

http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/re ... ch+control

It must be wired into the input you select in the parameters. Depending on what input you use, the other wire from the switch must go to either power or ground.

I swapped my stock ecu for k pro a year or so back and it had launch control activated at the time, which worked as it should.

I recently had a bit of work done on the engine and this required a remap which updated my k pro with the software updates.

Launch control now doesn't work even if I click the box to activate and switch it to permanently on.

Does this mean that now it won't work without a switch?

Thanks

you must post the calibration you are using and a datalog showing the problem, as well as wha tvehicle you have and exaclty what has been done to it.

Its all on my mates computer, I didn't want to mess with something I know nothing about, I will try and get him to upload what you require.

I realise it says to do so in the sticky, but I didn't think this was a datalogging issue

I have a Uk 2005 Honda Civic Type R EP3,

Modifications engine wise: Gruppe m, RBC Inlet Manifold, Spoon 4-2, 2-1, Spoon b pipe, Spoon N1

The only change since the remap has been the addition of the rbc but I didn't think that could effect the launch function

Thanks

when they were mapping it they probly changed the parameters in rev limits. if your launch control was always on then you will need to go back into rev limits and select "always on", or if you want a switch activated you will need to choose an input and wire it in, hope this helps.
