Odometer Sensor?

So this is pretty much a random question, buuut...

One of the problems us country guys face (North Dakota) is that the availability of a drag strip isn't always there. I've got miles and miles of open, flat, completely dead road to mess around on, but depending where I'm at, sometimes the closest 1/4 track is 200 miles away. (Not saying that I do drive fast on those open roads...*ahem*)

So I was wondering if there was some way to plug into the odometer to record 60ft, 1/8 mile, and 1/4 mile times via datalogs. A 0-60 run can easily be figured out by using a datalog and just checking the time it took you to run to 60, so that got me thinking about the 1/4 mile times, etc. This is all assuming that the odometer sensor goes to the ECU, not straight to the dash...

Any idea if that's possible? You guys would totally make my day if so! It would also be just one more selling point for Hondata...and you could charge more, too! :P
