p1607 error

Post by luke_sedz »

Hi,
I have a UKDM EP3 2004 K20a2 with K-pro on it.

Today i plugged in my computer to try and stop the immobiliser light on the dash board from flashing.

When i plugged in my laptop the ecu was online, i downloaded the map to save it onto my desktop.

I then went to look in the settings to see if i could disable the immobiliser and my computer crashed.

I then reloaded my computer and connected back to the ECU.
There was no tick in the box so i ticked it and then unticked it again and uploaded the changes.

Since then the car has been missing and has now thrown the p1607 error up.

Please can you tell me how i can solve this problem.

Thanks a lot
Luke

This is why it is recommended to not download the calibration from the ECU. You should have it saved to your hard drive and make changes and upload from that saved calibration. You probably have a corrupted calibration. Try clearing security from Online, Tools and then close the software and reopen it and go to File, New and load a new base calibration.

Hi thanks for your quick reply.

So if I put a standard base map back on the error will go? Or could there be further problems?

Thanks

What ECU do you have and what calibration have you loaded?

p0141 error

Post by luke_sedz »

Hi,
I have now put the base map back on but it is smoking a lot and has thrown up the P0141 (Secondary 02 sensor)

Why would this error be happening and would it be smoking because of this fault?

Apart from that the car runs fine now, i just need to get the correct map back off the tuner in a hard copy.

Thanks

secondary o2 sensor errors are emissions only and do not effect the way the car runs. If it is smoking you either have a tuning issue or a mechanical issue.
