OEM Mapsensor and real pressure

Post by ralf1 »

Hi

I detected following.

I drive the car with full throttle. I detected that the datalogging from the k pro shows a maximum boost of 10.2 psi.
concurrently i test the boost with a extern calibrated boost gauge.
at the same time the gauge shows 12.6 psi.
why the difference?

You are at the limit of the stock map sensor, once it maxes out it cannot read any higher. It is time to upgrade to a 4 bar Hondata map sensor.

so the OEM map sensor is only a 10psi sensor. i doesnt know this.
the map sensor until year 2000 is a 1.75 bar map sensor. so read to 0,75 bar boost . 0.75 bar is 10.7psi.
so the EP3 map sensor is only 1.7bar or 10psi map sensor. ok, this illustrate it.
Thanks for the information.
