Euro EE8

Post by tslex »

Hello.
I have an Euro CRX EE8 (b16a1 engine - never sold in the US) and want to put a turbo on it. What are my possibilities to use a hondata system if I don't want to convert my original ecu to an obd1 ecu ?
Thanks in advance.

Stage 2/3/4...or Zdyne or some other EMS.

Ok, but I've heard that I can't tune the stage2/3/4 system for my own.
I also had a look on the zdyne which can be directly tuned with a laptop.
For the hondata system I would need an eprom burner, right ?
Are you sure that both systems work for euro CRX ? Do you have experience with that car/that ecu ?
Thanks!

You will need a conversion harness, from OBDO to OBDI iff you are using a P28 ECU, and yes you will need a Eprom burner, and a Romulator iff you want to dynoed yourself, you also need The Rom editor and Hondalogger.

to be realistic and honest you will require all the aforementioned hardware AND a wide band O2 to tune ANY ecu/engine. and regardless of which oem-ecu tuning software you use, the obdI is the ecu of choice.

jumper harnesses are not necessarily required: we offer obdI ecus with the early (obd0) plugs already installed on the ecu so they plug right into the stock obd0 harness...just like the obdII-I conversions Hondata sells for the later ('96-up) Hondas.
