Datalog problem
Datalog problem
When I hit F10 for datalogging and I go for a drive, recently Im having the little square bouncing from the rpm/throttle position on the table where Im driving (holding steady) at up to the most upper left of the box then back down.. sometimes even staying up in the corner instead of bouncing right back, this will occur in the low speed ignition and fuel as well, havent tried high speed and then also tells me there are 1 and counts up to 4 error codes, but the error code box is empty, doesnt tell me whats up, and as quickly as they come, they dissapear! Now it only seems to do it when Im driving around, seems to be fine on idle.. any ideas? Or if I wasnt clear enough please ask, and Ill try and explain it differently!! Help!!! It also seems that I cannot update my Hondata either.. related issue?
datalogging problem AEM wideband
Ever find a solution? (back from the 1 month dead thread pile)
I have the exact same problem to a T. Error code(s) popup, but not showing any code when I look at the appropriate tab in smanager.
P06/S300
95 USDM GSR, stock
AEM UEGO wideband D10 input
Cut two resistors for ELD input, offset is only -0.04v, working ok at idle.
Perhaps interference from non-resister type spark plugs? Who knows.
Tried searching, no luck so far. I'll keep this thread updated for those that stumble upon it should I find a solution.
I'm just running through the basics at this point and would recommend the same: viewtopic.php?t=5226

Not sure about you.. but mine only seemed to act up after I tried hooking the wideband up (AEM).. took me about three tries.. wondering if trying a wrong wire gave me the issue.. and or my laptop was gay from day one.. so wondering when I transferred a saved calibration from that pile of crap to this new one I transferred over the problem. Mines been like this for awhile now obviously.. I just deal, cause I dont know what the problem is.. I see that you say yours is fine on idle as well! Now when it brings up error codes, on the table? Does it jump from where your foot/rpm is up to where it sits when off? Car still runs fine no problem there.. I would say its only Hondata to laptop problem.
Yep same exact issue. The normally rapidly changing cel showing lambda values freezes, and only see's 1-2 frames per second, if that, in anything other than idle. I also get random popups "There are (2) or sometimes (3) error codes" but nothing comes up when I check them.PtotheJ wrote:Not sure about you.. but mine only seemed to act up after I tried hooking the wideband up (AEM).. took me about three tries.. wondering if trying a wrong wire gave me the issue.. and or my laptop was gay from day one.. so wondering when I transferred a saved calibration from that pile of crap to this new one I transferred over the problem. Maybe a solution?!?

This morning I checked my onboard datalogs stored in ecu/hondata memory. It was full. I had 0kb free. I hit "delete all" and it still showed 0kb free (by design I think, something about flash memory utilization, spunkster?). Anyway, so I hit delete all, then I created a short 2 second onboard datalog, and hit "delete" (not delete all) and my memory finally showed free, about 2mb worth.
I then drove 30 minutes with wideband logging working perfectly!
On about the 32nd minute of driving it started behaving badly again, same issues as we discussed above. So I checked the onboard datalogging via Smanager and it showed a negative value in KB free for memory.
Long story short I believe this has to do with memory free, but I'm not sure. I'm really not sure there if there is a direct correlation or if I just wasted 10 minutes posting this.
I should probably upload a datalog if possible...
Spunkster / Hondata / PtotheJ? Thoughts?

followup
For what it's worth I thought I would follow-up.
Once I deleted the onboard datalogs and ensured I had the full 2mb free, it works fine. I since disabled on-board datalogging. (I used to have it controlled via PSP power steering switch aux in, now it's off)
Hope this helps the OP and/or others.
