paritail throttle hiccup?

Post by mcneil »

Ok im having a issue with my car. When driving light thorttle the car studders or hiccups you could say and drops lean right off the gauage(aem wideband) . It only does this under 10% throttle , above that and WOT the car works perfect . I have reloaded a new map more then once and still have the same problem. Any ideas?

Setup is - 2000 EM1 , B20B with b16 trans , S300 and aem wideband

Download 1.4.2.0, and drop your fuel overrun cutoff (on the TPS tab) MAP values to 15 kPa.
In my case, I actually had to go down to 13 to eliminate all jerkiness.

Check your TPS reading at idle. If it is anything other than 0 then you need to adjust it physically first to get it as cose as possible then you can fine tune it in Smanager.

I have adjusted fuel over cutoff both map and tps . the tps reads 0 at idle and is calibrated properly . I am still stupmed by this problem . problem also seems to be worse when cold

well today i did a few more datalogs and noticed that when the car hiccuped the tps was reading 0% even though i knew i was into the throttle. I immediately assumed the tps was bad and changed it and the problem was fixed. there were never any error codes for tps but i was definitely the problem.
