where the hell is my ELD on my obd2b stock harness *CANADA*

Post by migee »

Hi guys,

I have the special edition s300 for integra 98-01 in my 2000 LS. It has the built in obd2b connector. Now im trying to finally get my wideband analog out to it, and I notice that there IS no eld wire in my harness. does obd2b not have one?

http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2b.htm

here it says A30 but there is no such wire on my stock harness A connector... I see the brake switch A31 there, but no green/red wire next to it. Also... oddly, the 30 on the graphic of the harness is crossed out, and not given a number... why?

Where do I go from here?

edit: not sure if this matters, im in canada and its a 2000 integra SE (pretty much an ls)

if your not using something like A/C,power steer, knock sensor, etc, etc then use that pin & repin it to A30 then u have wire to join onto.
if your not planning vtec than even those pins might be present in your harness & u can use one of those.
even go down the junkyard & find a spare pin with a bit of wire on a wreck, chop off the whole plug so u got heaps of spare pins even.
u might find a pin from any obd1+ honda plug will fit, just as long as its the smaller one of the 2 sizes.

fly_n Thanks!

I deleted my AC so I'll try to repin it to a30. I'm sure I can find an article on how to repin as I've heard of it being done many times before. Thanks again.

Ugh problems.

A/C doesnt even match up with the obd2b pinout for my car. And of ALL the depinnings I've seen the obd2b connectors dont seem anything of the same.

Now I'm really confused on what to do.

I went looking for blue/red A/C switch on A27. Only A28 has a wire on that row, but its for A/T according to the pinout (im manual) and green.

I darkened those that I dont have, and made red what is different. Interesting.

But at least one of the A/C pins match up, I guess I can try stealing that one.

edit: Car came with p/s, cruise, a/c. Why some are missing *shrug*

just an update. I have it working. I noticed after mapping out my pins that the a/c switch one is indeed there, as the last 8 pin numbers on that webpages diagram are not numbered correctly.

I was able to cut out that one, and move it over and splice it into my wideband and now ELD shows the right voltage, with no offset even.

thanks for the help fly_n
