kpro acting up

Post by jamesandrew58 »

for some reason my check engine light goes on if i don't start my car up with my laptop plugged in (kmanager doesn't have to be open). if my laptop isnt plugged in and i turn the key 2 clicks in the check engine stays on and my battery light doesn't come on, if its plugged in the battery light is on and the check engine light goes off.

Stop immediatley and check your grounds. If you keep doing this it could damage both the ECU and K-Pro board if has not already been damaged.

this is not my car. its my friends 02 rsx-s. what grounds should we check? we have the ground to the valve cover on, from the timing cover to the chassis and the tranny to the chassis.

Take each ground off and clean down to bare metal underneath.
