Help With Start UP Kal. Cranny?
Help With Start UP Kal. Cranny?
So I poured painstaking hours into this map, and before I load it up into my car and waste a lot of money, I was wondering if someone would give it a quick onceover to make sure it looks decent.

that map is long gone. It didnt knock too bad, but would every once in a while.
The map im using right now is this one.
The cam angles at WOT I got from Hondatas training videos, and they seem to be working well for me.

Have you been on dyno yet? 50 deg is a lot, that exhaust combo must be working very well then.

Well it's because 50deg overlap is a lot if you do not have supercharger (it's basically all the way 50 deg in supercharger configuration) / great header-exhaust-intake combo.
One more thing ... the Hondata DVD materials are using supercharged vehicle for the training ... 8) ...
Is your car RSX Type S?

Yes, it is a Type S. And the Hondata materials specifically say and I quote
And in the video Im referring to, #9 Making a composite cam angle map, the car maked 209whp and 153wtq, which doesnt sound SC to me..but I could be wrong. With a naturally aspirated engine the cam advance should be set to maximum just after VTEC
engagement until about 6500-7000 rpm. From 7000 rpm (where the cam advance should be near 50
degrees) to redline the cam is retarded back around 25 degrees. This procedure is correct for all
commercially available after market cams at the date of release of this software, but camshafts
which are substantially different from a Honda camshaft may require different settings.

I might be wrong then - it is some time now since I've been watching it. :)
On my Euro CTR with ITR cams, ITR Intake, Spoon Header + B-Pipe, ITG Maxogen airbox it is 40-45 deg where power lies.
