s300 Datalogging Header

Post by 7rrivera7 »

I prepared a P28 ECU for a customer but did not do the physical installation of the s300 board. After the customer installed and tuned the car, he said everything was fine except when the car hits a bump and the ECU moves due to vibrations.

I asked for the ECU with the board installed and when I removed the s300, the 4 port dataloggin header which should be attached to the s300 stayed inserted on the 4-pin datalogging header.

I removed the connector but it does not attach to the s300 - it's as if the connector makes contact when the s300 is physically inserted but it a "resting" type connection which is not solid.

Is this correct for an s300? I thought the board had the 4-pin female connector soldered to the s300 board and when you remove the board it should come out with it?

I have attached a pic of the ECU, the s300, the corner where the datalogging header should go (it's disconnected), and the 4-pin female connector.
