im trying to be as respectful as i can in many regards, and thus far have been a satisfied hondata user. but the question i asked in the email was in regards to the Kpro's with serial#'s 4951 and 6124.

Does hondata keep a database of where each unit is sent out to ? or even which ECU's these Kpro applications are installed on specifically? (K-series vs. S2k)

Because if any of this information link 4951 and 6124, I've found the Kpro that was stolen from the previous owner which would rightfully be his. There is a shop in VA (where my car was stolen prior to my ownership) that has listed a S2000 Kpro (00-05) for sale without the harness. And in the picture supplied by the seller, the bracket/stickers are missing which are items that I have.

Although those details are seemingly small, it was a red flag to me when:
-Car's origin + shops location are both VA
-The Kpro for sale is missing the harness which is in my car
-The bracket/stickers missing from the pics, I have
-The shop that owns the Kpro is not an authorized Hondata dealer

I am only pursuing this because the Kpro is the last piece to get this car up and running again, and through a stroke of luck I found the exact item I need. To rid any doubt in my mind and to proceed with this deal, I am verifying that the unit is not stolen.

The information on the Kpro in question is:
Serial# 6124
37820-PRB-305
2054-100752
KEIHIN

(i think they meant 37820-PRB-A05)

If my intentions are still unclear, feel free to give me a call at (415)793-5780 my name's Silas

Typically they are not. If someone is selling it without the harness there is a very good likelyhood that it is stolen.

I personally have prepared every single s2000 K-Pro and know for a fact that a harness and bracket is included with each one.

It has not been reported stolen at this time to us. Since the deal sounds sketchy I would only buy from a rebutable Hondata dealer.

do you keep records of the ECU's serial#'s along with each individual Kpro serial number? I mean only under very rare circumstances can I see this situation happening. (a kpro exactly like the one stolen being sold with a different serial#)

if not, perhaps you at least have records of which shop the specific unit (6124) was sent to? I'll just verify through that shop personally to see who did the work.

The shop claims to have gotten the Kpro from InlinePRO, which could make sense, and im trying to get ahold of ILP for some information as well.

Once again, Thank you for your efforts. I'm just trying to make sure that this unit isn't already mine and making sure that I'm not supporting thieves.

i decided to outright buy it, the shop informed me that they sent the defective harness to InlinePRO which will be sending it to hondata. I want to know when it arrives, if it never arrives I will also want to know.

Thank you spunkster for your help, happy holidays.

It depends on the serial number of the K-PRo that was used.

regrettably, this car has been stolen again and the Kpro was stolen again. I recently sold the car and approximately 1 week after the sale, the car was stolen from outside of the new owner's house.

I still have the boxes from the 2 Kpro's that went into this car, i'd like to make sure that they're both reported stolen and that no one buys them. Here we go again for another Kpro search

Serial#'s 6124, 4951.

i will take pictures of the boxes tomorrow
