No wideband to s300 temporary can't get o2 sensor out

Post by uncledan »

Putting an s300 P28 in a 2000 Prelude with JRSC. We are replacing the JRSC emu and injectors. The blower is off the car to replace the injectors and the wiring harness has already been put back to stock. We will be using a PLX for wideband and narrowband signal. Tried to get the o2 sensor out last night and it won't budge. Broke the o2 sensor crowsfoot.

Can we run the car on the stock narrowband o2 sensor with the s300 in closed loop to get the car to a shop to either get the o2 sensor out or a new bung installed, as long as we stay in closed loop while driving 5 miles?

The answer I got from another source is:

If the o2 sensor isn't damaged, I can run in closed loop. If the sensor is damaged, I can run in open loop, although afr may be off.
