Why you not fixed increasing idle speed for PSP switch too?
I looked for a solution to my own little idle surge problem(until hondata might please do something about it,lol) & came up with this.

This involves using PSP for clutch switch input for launch control & flat shift(until i can find a nice little strain gauge solution for flat shift, anybody got any good easy setups to look at???)

The only time i get idle surge now is at the track(or the "track",lol) waiting to race.........problem solved.

Just activate the dash switch when launch or shift needed......pretty little light in switch comes on to tell u it is active.....deal with the little idle surge problem while creeping forward in the staging lanes......race.....turn off dash switch when u r cruising home.

comments,criticism welcome,something i missed???
dont forget to post your nice strain gauge setups for me to copy, cheers

hmmmm..... the clutch switch in this diagram still has it's own ground. Shouldn't the ground come off the toggle switch then to the clutch switch and then the ECU?

thats how i had it setup originally.

i just jumped straight in without thinking about it,i didnt even check whether the PSP was supposed to be normally closed or not when no power steer pressure.

so whats actually happening when u set it up like u say is,
when u toggle the dash-switch off,u break the ground connection from the ecu psp input,so the ecu thinks its seeing permanent power steer pressure & adjusts the idle accordingly.
when u toggle the dash switch on,then u get the idle surges every time u depress the clutch(or release clutch if u have it inverted).

with the new way i got it setup,(what i shouldve put on that diagram is, this is shown with the dash switch in the "off" position)(fixed)
with dashswitch off,the ecu sees permanent ground & thinks no power steer pressure permanently.
when u want to race,
u toggle the dash switch on & it releases the permanent ground connection from the dashswitch & then the ecu just sees the toggling of the clutch switch only,ie psp on & off, therefore launch on & off.

it did smooth out my idle a fair bit for everyday cruising as a result.

i think if u do a swap without the psp switch in place or not using it for ecu inputs etc, then u should just pull the psp input permanently down to ground, could help with your idle tuning.
im not 100% sure if im right on this, but this is what i would like some feedback on if possible.
