Can I use wideband for ECU and Gauge at the same time?

Post by AliKhan84 »

I am aware PLX is the recommended brand, but I have an LC-1 wideband. Unfortunately, I purchased the LC-1 even before I got the Hondata S300.

Is it possible to splice the brown analog output2 wire (0-5V) that goes to my a/f ratio gauge to the ECU? Would that throw off the a/f reading going to the ECU/gauge at all if that one signal is going to the gauge & ECU?

Reason being is that I would like to be able to datalog/tune with my s300 and have a functioning a/f ratio gauge at the same time (so I have a visual of my a/f ratio when driving).

I am planning on running the car with the stock 02 sensor and just using the LC-1 for tuning (I have a second 02 bung for the LC-1). So basically when not tuning via wideband, I'd still have my a/f ratio gauge displaying a reading from the LC-1's analog output.

Anybody running a setup like I plan to? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did search a bit, but had no luck finding a setup like this.

The wires should not go to multiple items. This will effect the readings.

LC-1 has 2 analogue outputs,ie the brown & the yellow wire.

just reprogram the yellow wire(analogue 1) to 0-5V & use it to the ecu.

let all the rest of us LC-1 owners (before hondata!!!),know how u go with the ecu readings
