Mini-Me and Ls Vtec

Ok, can someone explain to me what a mini me is, and how hard is it to make my D15 a mini me? how much is it worth if I were to do it, cause my friend wants to trade me a D16y8 head for my Ls head. cause I am going Ls vtec in my hatch... and I have a D15 currently in my hatch right now... putting an ls in in 2 wks... then going ls vtec...

Is it worth it? cause it would make my D15 worth more rite for resale?? just a question :P

Maybe im on the wrong site for these questions... oops sorry ppl if I am :P.... I just figured that you guys actually "tune" your car instead of just putting a turbo on and a shot of nitrous to go fast.. and leaving the rest to everyone around you to fix :P haha..

mini me = single cam vtec head on non-vtec block.

thanks I understand now.... is it a good motor?? should I do it if I can, and the only reason I want to do it is to sell my d15 for a lil more than what I can rite now..

dam that shit going to be crazy but fast for a ls vtec you be likin th igh 14 and low 13 i think

a mini me will get (usually) 100hp to the wheels and 101 lbs of torque. to make a mini me you will need:

head and distributor,including the intake fuel rail and throttle body/z6 or y8-usally around $200, not including the valve job the resurfacing, port job
head gasket-40 to 70
adjustable cam gear (optional but dont be cheap do it right)- 100-150

if you have a dual point d15 you will need to make it mpfi
you can switch to an obd1 ecu or you can an afc to activate your vtec

if you have a dual point you will need to get the z6 injectors so that you dont have to use a resistor box

ARP head studs (optional) but good to have just incase!!-120

alot of power comes from the head of a car. z6 flows better than the y8 but the intake mani on the y8 is better than the z6. It will get you some more money for the motor but it dependes on how much you pay for the parts. look to spend $500 to do it right.
