y7 help.. wrong column

Post by aaopilot1 »

well to make a long story short me and a friend put a greddy kit on his 97 civic cx. swapped a z6 mani on it and TB and did the 2 wire conversion. we are also using 440 cc injectors and a walboro pump.

now we are trying to use hondata s300 and when we start it up using a z6 map ( we pulled some timing) it idles at about 850 but in column 6 and 7?!

what would cause this? any help is appreciated. thanks

There appears to be a problem with the battery voltage. It starts really low and gradually rises but it is also fluctuating quite a bit at the same time. I would begin by looking at that.

have you put a vacuum gauge on the car to see where the engine vacuum actually is? i had a car a guy built the engine and had the valves way too tight and was causing it to idle in the upper columns. because thats where the engine vacuum was. he had the lash so tight, it only had like 8" of vac at idle.

well we fixed that problem. we changed the intake gasket and seemed to fix the problem. we did hook up a manual guage and it reads -20 " at idle

now hondata isnt reading any tps signal. and when i try to scale it it only reads -5% min and 60% max. when you go into sensors and hit the throttle it doesnt give me any kind of readout. havent had a chance to check the tps voltage BUT we did swap the whole throttle body with one that we know for fact is working and still no signal and still wont change in scale section

Try the ECU in a known good vehicle and make sure you have not swapped the MAP and TPS plugs.

Until you try it in a known good vehicle you will not know.
