Display window size

Post by talonxracer »

I have a older version of kpro prior to the onboard datalogging feature. I would like to use the display window to monitor a few things while datalogging, but the windows are rather small and hard to see. Maximizing the page doesnt make the displays any larger, is there anyway to enlarge them so that they are easier to see/ watch when tuning/datalogging?

Are you using an old version of KManager? You should be able to resize the displays in the display window.

Sorry about not getting back quicker, my apologies.

I am running 1.2.8.0

I have right clicked the controls on the display window and there is no option to resize that I can find. Any advice as to how to resize the display?

Thank you

It could be that the controls are locked. If you right click in the display window, not on a control, a menu should give you the option of locking/unlocking the controls.

The current version is 1.3.5.4 - you should upgrade.

I did as you suggested, right clicked in a bare area of the display area and not on a actual instrument or readout box, and the lock was off, I checked everything in the settings as well as every option and there was no obvious method to enlarge the individual read outs. I had also updated to the newest version of Kpro.

I do remember 4 years ago when I first got the Kpro(s/n 1730), that the displays were far larger and then sometime around a year after that during an version upgrade the size decreased to it's present size.

also while downloading the newest version from Hondata site, my webroot anti-virus said a virus was downloaded at the same time,,, Mal/Generic-A

I performed a virus scan afterwards and it was there, is this a part of the actual Kpro and I should make an exception, correct?

display sizes have never changed. Perhaps you changed the resolution of your display settings in windows.

You may have to uninstall your antivirus software (more than likely AVG).

nope it is not AVG, it is Webroot, IIRC a similar occurrence happened last year with a different item in Kpro being regarded as a virus, I did the same as last time and simply tagged it as ignore in the antivirus.

I was using a different laptop previously.

I could swear the displays were at least twice the size as they are now,,,,,but if you say they havnt changed...

How about adding that as an option, they are hard to see when you take a quick glance at the laptop in the pass seat. And the faux gauges are impossible to make out even when simply sitting still.

I dont know if this is related to not being able to resize the gauges and readouts, but the help file states to drag the outline of the gauge readout to resize, but when i attept this I get a pop up error window stating division by zero, what does that refer to?

Well I finally figured it out,,,,,,,the resize numerical value as it is when Kmanager is/was downloaded, was at zero. Nowhere in any of your tutorials or in any directions or explanations is this covered.
You guys need to make a much more indepth manual to cover these small little tidbits of info, there is so much confusion as to what values represent and what changing them actuall does to the calibration or functionality of Kpro etc.

You guys have been working with this system for years and while you take these small things for granted, your customers are scratching their heads over how to accomplish a simple task.
