In rom editor there is the option to engage vtec according to absolute pressure. My question is whether this continuous engagement-disengagement if you set the pressure quite high (say 800mbar) would create any long term problems in the reliability of the vtec mechanism. Unless you power shift or use hondata's shift limiter whenever you change up a gear, vtec disengages until you hit the throttle again so that map pressure exceeds the predetermined value.
