Basic Map

Post by teinxxx »

I did a full engine work to a D16 and basically everything is new on it, including a 5 speed swap... I plug the P28 with a S300 but I can't be able to start the car...
Do I need first to put a basic map on the ECU to be able to start the car?

You have not provided enough information to be able to give any advice.

this is what I have done to the car: Head work (port and polish w/a 3 angle job; I drop to the head a stage 2 crower cam, crower springs and retainers, 1mm Ferrea stailes steal valves, skunk 2 cam gear, Blox 70mm Thr Body., The Block received new low comp. wiseco pistons and Scat rods and a (golden eagle block guard and fuel rail; RCA 750 injectors and clips; aeromotive FPR... Turbo Garett GT3582R and a lot of more goodies... ECU is a P28 with a S300 and conv. hrnss. I did also a 5 speed conv. Nothing has being done to the Brand New S300.. The timming, ignition or fuel adjustment has not being done yet... I will bring the car to the local tuning shop for the timming and tunning but i will like to start this car at least at home before I take it to the shop but It do not start... do the ecu need a basic map first in order to be able to start the car or that's cause the car do not have a proper timming yet?..

You'll need to go to File, New and create a base calibration and then modify it for the injector size you are using. Then upload that to the ECU and begin making changes to it to get it to run safely.

hey thanks a lot for the advise. I check the caibrations on the s manager and I see that there is a base map there for a D16 turbocharge but like you said I need to make some changes to make it work cause my injector sized are different and that's where My roblem is... I don't know how to make those changes so I will need to ask for help and pray..... Or pay someone...
Thanks again
