b16 wont start

Post by da693 »

i just dropped a b16a into my 93 teg, im using my harness with the needed wires added in with a p30 ecu. i had it start twice for only about a min. both times i reset the ecu befor trying. i got codes from my check engine light and fixed the problems.now it wont star at all. im wondering if i should run a resistor pack with the injectors that came with this engine? any help please. :?

Oh my.... You might have fried the ECU. Check if the resistors are reading 2-6 ohms. You should have installed the resistor pack. Then try again.

You can use any saturated injectors that are 240/cc

Mitsubishi's don't use a resistor box. You should learn to identify the kinds of injectors. Peak and hold or Saturated. there's info somehwere in the site.

What you need to know is if the injectors you are using are saturated or not. If it is then look for the problem elsewhere. If it is peak and hold then you need to use the resistor box and hope that you didn't fry the ECU.

Where did the engine come from anyway. What is the Engine code and serial number.

Now theres a problem. You ran the ECU without the resistor box using P&H injectors?

Try swapping ECU? borrow from a friend.
