Big turbo lag with boost control!

Post by crucian »

I know this topic was covered before but I guess it was never really answered by Hondata or maybe I just missed it. Is there anyway that we can get some type of gain, or set boost feature like the Greddy boost controllers? That would be nice. I ran both setups and had to go back to the greddy. But I love the boost by gear that the S300 has. Any suggestions?

If the boost control is set up correctly it will hold boost. If your s300 does not, then start by describing your setup, how the boost control is plumbed in, calibration with duty cycle tables, and datalog or dyno graph showing the boost curve.

Im not saying that the boost does not hold, Im saying that it lags far more than if I am using the features on the Greddy controller. I can have the boost come in hard or soft with the greddy, but in the S300 it's like a gradual increase.

this is a very important upgrade I would love to see in the s300 boost control option. this is the only boost control option I have right now, my turbo t67 , I wish there was that option because I love the simplicity of the all in one ems.

You could use aux1 output and another NC solenoid to block all signal until a certain PSI is reached. The have the normal boost controller hooked up and set to control it from that point on. More complicated I know but doable.
thank you, thank you, I'm here all week

Please elaborate on this. im running the s300 and have everything to do the boost control i just havent bothered because my friend is also running it in his car and like stated above it gradually builds boost instead of say just adding 5 psi on top of a 10 psi spring it slowly adds the 5 psi, kinda sucks really
