A/C problem

Post by beat »

Hi,
My A/C his not working..... Would it be something I set that disabled the A/C?

Checked that the A/C pump works when we feed it power, but the ECU doesnt feed it power...

You could have a damaged ECU, but without the calibrations and datalogging showing the problem, it is impossible to speculate.

How can I check for damage of the ECU?
Here is the calibration the car is running.

The best way is to try this ECU in a vehicle with working AC using a fresh calibration.

There is a setting that disables A/C at a certain rpm. Set the rpm high to where u can use the AC...
I think it's setup that way so that if and when you decide to floor it, it turns off AC function so you have less parasitic drag from the engine.

Will try that... Thank you

Just tested it today. There is signal going into the ECU, but nothing coming out of the ECU.... Is there a part of the calibration other than the A/C cut function that affects the A/C system?

To elinimate the calibration, create a new calibration, change only the injector size and MAP sensor (if necessary), and see if the AC works. Otherwise it looks like the ECU AC output circuit has died.

Found the problem, I activated datalog through the AC switch, therefore the AC switch was no longer an AC switch....
Stupid...
