Since having the Vortec SC kit installed, w/Hondata reflash, I noticed that the rpm's are lower than before having the kit installed. When cruising at 70mph, the rpm's were at exactly 4000 when stock, now its 3700rpm.
Is this normal for the reflash w/the SC?
The only thing different between the CR and standard S that could affect this would be the rear wheels and tires. The CR tires are wider at 255, the standard S is 245. The total wheel tire height seems the same, but I'm sure having a wider tire would make it a bit different (taller, or shorter).
Thanks.

The reflash cannot affect what RPM you see based on MPH/Gear. This is related to the gear ratio of the transmission, tire size and the differential gearing. The only way this will have changed is if you have changed the transmission, the rear differential, tire size or your clutch is slipping very badly.
I do have some slippage when shifting hard and high in vtec, from 2nd to 3rd only at around 7k to 7.5k rpm. I will be changing the clutch, so you are saying that the new clutch should fix the issue? Nothing has been changed with regards to the transmission, the rear differential, or the tire size.
Thanks.
