new i have the P28 ecu S300 just got need help??

Post by 80cvccb16 »

its a 1980 cvcc w/ b16

the motor is the B16a was obdo then did the swap to the P28 S300 ecu and every thing els is still Obdo as Dist.. and jectors
?? the injectors are off the DSM 450 i have the resistor box on them
do i need to change to obd1 injecters ( OR ) what do i need as for the S300
i just don't know anything about injectors and what the S300 needs or can do about the OBDO to OBD1

i know its stupid but i don't wanna start the car befor i know payed to much for it to blow the ECU in seconds....

PS im not tuning im getting it to start in stock format then its going to dyno
its never seen the road track only..
any help would be great...

You have to have an OBD-1 Vtec Distributor or the S300 will not pick up TDC.

you do not need to upgrade to obd-1 injectors since you already have a resistor box in place, but there may lie a problem using DSM's with your Hondata. i think a certain ohm dsm injector will not work you will have to wait for there reply on that.

We don't recommend the DSM injectors: http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=432

The Honda resistor box if you have one wired in should be enough to protect the ecu from damage, however the injectors may not give the consistent performance you need.

We recommend RC saturated injectors up to 750cc and require no resistor box. RC also has peak and hold injectors in higher flow rates, but they do require a resistor box.

Low Impedence = Peak and Hold
High impedence = Saturated
