ok i took my 93 del sol that has a b16 to be tuned. the shop had it on the dyno for a baseline run. everything was fine when they turned off the car. now when they turned the car on again it wouldnt hold a map. it was registering on the computer, but it just couldnt keep the map. they said that they tried several different maps and it would randomly start and then it wouldnt take the same map.
honestly i dont know if i can believe that. why would the ecu work then 2 minutes later it just stop? it doesnt add up.
do you think that it could have been something electrical that blew up? or that there could have been a virus on the computer and now the s300 has an STD. lol
i looked at the trouble shooting and i saw one of the things was if it wouldnt take a map. i know it isnt a socketing problem because the ecu is from hondata and that im sure people over there know what their doing.
please help me anything would be great.
s300 just died?
its version 1.4 and under that it says november 2008. so im just assuming that the november 2008 was the last update date? you think if i updated the software that it would fix the problems?
i also have like all the basemaps saved on my s300. from d16 to ITR to b16 with greddy turbo kit and all the inbetween. im guessing it crapped out because it didnt have anymore memory to store another map. (thats just my guessing) or maybe it just "died" because it didnt hav ehte latest version on it? to me that doesnt seem plausable but i dont really know much about hondata.
