Post by 02ep3si »

Hello people, I would like some input on what tune to run for my setup. Here is what i have.

K24 block
TSX pistons
Blueprint rods
K20z3 head with blueprint port and polish
Flat Face Valves
Brian Crower stage 2 cams
Brian Crower Dual valve springs
DC race header
Buddy Club spec 3 exhaust

Any input is appreciated.

i was told the k20a2 with crower stage 2 cams would work with some added fuel and some a/f tuning.. I only want a tune that is safe to break the motor in with some highway driving. I want to get it tuned the first week of april.

Thanks

is this the same user i see on k20.org all the time? if so what up dude , haha.

here buddy , load this on there do a datalog and post it up. i can help you if you like. this is the stag2 crower map , added 5% fuel to entire map , took out 2 degrees timing from WOT columns. lowered cam angles more suited to K24 bottom. try it see what happens , while your datalogging , keep an eye out for knock count and lean conditions. i didnt enable lean protection so. listen carefully for spark knock while driving. not just WOT , but cruising as well.

Here is an idle datalog and a 3rd gear datalog..

I did the recommended fuel adjustments in the 3rd gear log.. Any other pointers would be great.

what recommended changes? lol. here load this on. do a long datalog , vary driving conditions. make sure its in open loop. keep an eye out on the A/F. you really need to wire in a knock sensor. do you know what spark knock sounds like? lol

yeah, I know what spark knock sounds like..

My knock sensor threw a code when i was out so i disabled it. Do you got any ideas on a better sensor to put in there?

How long of a datalog do you want?

Thanks again for the help.

at least 20 minutes. you should really get a knock sensor in there and functioning. make sure its in open loop. watch your A/F.

you didnt answer me , what changes did you make? if you want me to do this , dont make an changes ok. or at least tell me.

use this for the datalog

you cant tune using overlay. you can reference it when part throttle tuning but not WOT.
