cooling fan help
I jave recently put a obd1 b16a into a 93 civic ex. i used the ex wiring harness and both the computers will run the engine. one of my problems is there is no fan turn on. i have a temp. reading on the dash which looks correct but there is never a fan turned on. i was wondering if in fact the cooling fan circuit is stand alone like some other cars. also the idle is very high like 2100 any help on these problems would be greatly appricated
can anyone tell me how to clear a check engine light on a honda. found the problem one of the fuses postions that was unmarked was missing a fuse and it turns out that holder was for the fan circuit. idle has dropped since that bracket i wa sgiven was modified any help on the check engine light would be a great help thanks.
It seems like my radiator fan NEVER turns on either...I have no CELs though and my operating temperature is great year round. I mean obviously I don't know whether or not it's on going down the highway, but after a long drive if I pop my hood and keep letting it run, the fan NEVER comes on. Strange, innit?
thanks guys for all the help. found code to be a tps code
checked throttle plate to not return fully to colosed postion(0volts?) pulled tp sensor found to be out of detents repositioned. codes gone and drives good. one more question is there any reason i should use my stock 93 sohc vtec ecu or the one that came with the motor? both are obd1 i am told by nippon motors the engine came from japan. once again thank you for all the help.
